Cadac PMC (Programmable Motor Controller)
Produced for
Cadac Ltd (Now Wellington Drives)
Year
1995
Project details
The Cadac PMC program used a custom designed serial protocol to allow a
PC to configure a motor controller and display the results. This program
was written so that it could be complied for both DOS text mode and OS/2
PM. It was used to graph the actual speed of a washing machine motor against
the target speed and show the results of changes to the PID variables on
the microcontroller. The micro on the controller board include 16 bit signed
floating point code to allow the implementation of full PID type controller.
